Whiskey Barbeque Beef Cube Steak
3 lbs Beef Cube Steak
1 bottle Cheap Barbeque Sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Cheap Whiskey
1 stick Unsalted Butter
4 Tbs Curry Powder
4 Tbs Turmeric
2 clove Fresh Garlic
Salt and Pepper to Taste
This recipe is best enjoyed on a charcoal grill. I would prepare the charcoal coals first so it will be ready when the sauce is completed. You should also have the Beef Cube Steak out of the refrigerator to bring it to room temperature or as close to it before grilling.
1- Prepare the Barbeque Sauce
Add the Stick of butter to a sauce pan and begging melting it on medium heat. Next add the cloves of garlic to the butter. When the butter is melted and the aroma of the garlic is coming from the pan add the whiskey. Stir in the brown sugar. Let the brown sugar begin to caramelize. Add the Cheap Barbeque Sauce. Stir in the Curry and Turmeric. Let the sauce cook on medium heat for a few minutes until it begins to bubble while stiring to insure consistency. Taste it and add a little salt and pepper.
2- Add a layer of sauce to the Beef Cube Steak before grilling
3- Continue to apply the sauce during grilling
The charcoal should be white, but the grill should be turn to low heat. Add the cube steak to the barbeque grill. The steak needs to be cooked to taste but above 135 degrees, but that should only take a few minutes. Be very generous with the sauce and apply at least 2 more applications of sauce on the steak while it is grilling. Once the steak reaches your personally level of doneness remove it from the grill. Let it stand for a couple minutes prior to eating so it can reach an optimal consistent temperature throughout.
4- Enjoy your Beef Cube Steak and tell your friends where you found the recipe!
